Dating A Filipina Woman: A Japanese Man Experience
This comic shows my experience of what it is like dating a Filipina woman. The event happened at our first meeting after being in a long-distance relationship.
Let me explain this to you. My girlfriend came from a strict and religious household, and as an Asian dad, or rather a Filipino dad, her father is ensuring her safety. It’s our first meeting, and I know her family is reluctant to let their daughter go and meet some stranger.
It was odd for a Japanese like me because she’s no longer a minor. It was awkward at first, but her father didn’t speak much, and he let us roam around and have our date. (Hahahaha)
I have to go back after a couple of days because I still need to work, but I enjoyed my short stay in the Philippines and meeting her and her father.
