International Relationship Challenge | Living Situation
An English comic strip discusses the three main challenges in a long-distance relationship, the experiences, and the solution to overcome them. Now, let’s talk about the living situation.
Long-distance relationships can be both easy and hard. You’re lucky if the both of you live in the same country or if you have almost the same time zone. But, it can also be difficult for some. They have a different time zone and a busy schedule, and they forgot to give time for their relationship. “Remember to set a date or a specific time for you to talk or discuss things about each other."
If things seem to work out and you decide to step up your relationship to the next level, you’ll start to discuss where to live and, this can begin a fight in some situations. Which country will you choose? Are you willing to leave your family, life, and the career you build for years to be with your partner or vice versa? It’ll be a big decision that you have to think about not just twice, but a million times.
When I started dating him, I also expected to have a heated argument about these kinds of stuff. I love my life in the Philippines, and it’s tough for me to leave my family, especially my growing son. But, I made up my mind to go with the flow and be open for discussions.
Unexpectedly, he wanted to stay in my country, so we did not have disagreements about where to settle. We are still openly discussing the pros and cons of our living situation, especially during the pandemic. What will be his job here, and the house we’re going to live I know it’ll go well, as long as we talk and discuss things and understand each other’s opinions and suggestions.
